New sports facilities at the Bratří Čapků Primary School
This year, the sports ground at the Bratří Čapků Primary School will undergo refurbishment. Facilities for additional sporting activities will be added.
The town of Příbram, as the governing body for primary schools, is also tackling the refurbishment of sports facilities. This year, there are plans to expand the sports ground at the Bratří Čapků Primary School.
“As part of the project, we would like to build a 50-metre running track with an artificial surface and a run-up track with a landing area for the long jump. Our aim is, within the scope of the project and subject to financial constraints, to build a further sports ground, install table tennis tables, create a shot put area and lay a perimeter path,” says Mayor Jan Konvalinka.
Work on extending the existing sports ground at the Primary School is scheduled to take place during the summer months. During the week beginning 16 February, several trees on the sports ground will be felled due to their ‘health’ condition and their encroachment on the water and sewerage protection zone.
