The courtyard at Msgr. Korejs’s residence in Březové Hory is to be resurfaced
Work on resurfacing the streets in Březohory will begin next week. Whilst the work is in progress, it will not be possible to park in the courtyard of Msgr. Korejs.
The courtyard of Msgr. Korejs and the adjacent Majerova Street will undergo repairs over the coming weeks: this will not involve localised repairs to potholes, but a complete, large-scale replacement of the tarmac surface. The works will also include the replacement of electrical wiring and the installation of street lighting. The works will necessitate restrictions on parking and access to garage spaces and businesses within the complex.
The works themselves will commence on Monday 20 April, with completion expected on 20 May.
“The Msgr. Korejs Courtyard is an area where people normally park. However, this will not be possible whilst the works are in progress, and access to garage spaces will also be restricted. Delivery access to the restaurant will be ensured, as will access for emergency services, if required, to the Care Home, which will remain accessible to residents without restriction via the adjacent pavement. The area is home to the fire station of the Příbram – Březové Hory, and arrangements have been made with them to ensure that, if necessary, their ability to respond to emergencies will not be restricted,” said First Deputy Mayor Vladimír Karpíšek.
Work on Majerova Street will take place in parallel with the work on the aforementioned courtyard. The estimated value of the contract was 2,117,500 CZK including VAT. A total of eight companies submitted bids, all but one of which were lower than the estimated value. The contract was awarded to Strabag SIS, a. s., with a bid of 1,285,718 CZK including VAT.
