News from the Town Hall – 23 April 2026
The latest edition of ‘Minutky z radnice’ is here, bringing plenty of news from the town.
- Twenty-three new field maples have been planted on Kladenská Street, six lime trees on Drkolnovská Street, and a further 25 trees are waiting to be planted this spring.
- New surfaces are being laid in the courtyard of Msgr. Korejs and on Majerova Street in Březové Hory.
- The Central Bohemian Region has provided funding of approximately 4 million crowns to support the operation of the Příbram detention centre.
- This year’s Walpurgis Night celebrations at Novák will take place on 29 April from 4.00 pm.
- In Old Příbram, pavements are being repaired on Potoční, Zahradnická and Pražská Streets.
- Please check the validity of your PID Lítačka cards; the first batch of cards will expire this year.
- Events: 12–14 June – 30th Meeting of Mining Towns and Villages of the Czech Republic and 19th European Day of Miners and Metallurgists; 24 April – November 2nd (Junior Club); 24–26 April: Czech Darts Championship (Cultural Centre), 25 and 26 April: ‘Grandad, how was it back then?’ (Příbram Mining Museum), 1 May: Kissing in Svatohorské Sady (Svatohorské Sady), 1 May: Dvořákova Vysoká walk, 2 May: Bear Trail (Litavka Forest Park), 2 May and 16 May: Farmers’ Markets (Dvořák Embankment), until 9 June: Antonín Dvořák Music Festival, until 30 August: ‘Architecture of Restoration’ exhibition (František Drtikol Gallery).
