The witches will arrive at Novák ahead of schedule

Wednesday 29 April will be all about witches at Novák, who will be flocking to the traditional ‘Witches at Novák’ event.

Dancing, a parade, a masked revelry, grilling sausages, face painting, alchemists, a fortune-telling tent, and above all, the burning of the witch at the stake – this is the programme for the ‘Witches at Novák’ event, which this year takes place on Wednesday 29 April from 4 pm.

“The Witches’ Festival at Novák is a popular event that attracts children of all ages every year. I am honoured to be able to attend the lighting of the bonfire again this year,” says First Deputy Mayor Vladimír Karpíšek. 

Wednesday’s Witches’ Night programme will kick off at 4 pm at the SeZaM bistro, from where a procession of witches and wizards will set off for the bonfire, where a witch will be burnt. This will be followed by a packed programme, which visitors can enjoy free of charge until 7.00 pm.
