News from the Town Hall – 12 February 2026

The ‘News in Brief from the Town Hall’ – the third instalment this year – has been filmed and is once again bringing you the latest news from the town.

  • As soon as the weather improves, the town will begin repairs to the access road to Svatá Hora.
  • In 2025, four water reservoirs were revitalised.
  • The regeneration of Jiráskovy sady will require two further road closures. From 15 February until the end of March, there will be a road closure on Gen. R. Tesaříka Street, and from April, Jiráskovy sady will be closed at the junction with Lázeňská Street.
  • We invite you to a Shrovetide celebration at the Příbram Mining Museum on Saturday 14 February.
  • The public toilets in Jiráskovy sady have been refurbished and are now open to the public. Payment can be made in cash or by card.
  • A word from the waste management team: bulky waste and sheet glass should be taken to the recycling centre. Items that can be reused at the Reuse Centre also belong there.
  • Events: 18 February – talk: ‘7,000 km on foot across Chile’ (Junior Club); 21 and 22 February – Sherlock Festival (A. Dvořák Theatre), 21 February: ‘Because I Can’ stand-up show – Arnošt Frauenberg (Junior Club); 24 February: ‘To the Moon’ (cinema); public ice-skating every weekend.
