The courtyard on Riegrova Street is set to undergo a major transformation. Preparatory work will take place before construction begins
In mid-April, work will begin on the courtyard on Riegrova Street, which is set to undergo a complete transformation. Before the revitalisation work itself begins, telecommunications networks will be relocated.
A children’s play area and sports ground, new street furniture, street lighting, pavements, semi-recessed waste bins and nearly forty new parking spaces – all this forms part of the regeneration of the courtyard on Riegrova Street. The work itself will begin in mid-April, but preparatory work is already underway in the courtyard, including the felling of one tree and the relocation of telecommunications networks.
“The regeneration of the courtyard on Riegrova Street is quite a large-scale project. Originally, we were addressing requirements to create a staging area for the Fire and Rescue Service, and this led to a project for the complete redevelopment of the space, which will include both play facilities and parking spaces, of which there is a shortage here,” says Mayor Jan Konvalinka.
The work will be carried out by Silnice Nepomuk, s. r. o., which was awarded the contract for 10,793,200 CZK including VAT.
