Preparations for the elections
The dates for this year’s local and Senate elections have already been clearly set; they will take place on 9 and 10 October. Any second round of the Senate elections will take place a week later.
The deadline for submitting candidate lists is 4 August. Another important date is 20 August, when the registration authority will decide whether to register or reject a candidate list.
“Although there is still time to submit candidate lists, all the necessary documents to help ensure a smooth submission process are already available on the town’s website under the ‘Elections 2026’ tab,” says Mayor Jan Konvalinka.
On the aforementioned website, you will find templates for coalitions, independent candidates, political parties, movements and associations. There is also a candidate declaration form available there.
