A new mist sprayer on 17 November Square

The squares in Příbram have their own fountains, and now further water features are being added – a misting system has been installed on 17 November Square, which will help to cool the area on hot summer days.

T. G. Masaryk Square, Wenceslas Square and 17 November Square all feature fountains, which are particularly enjoyed by children during the summer months. Further water features are currently being installed to help provide refreshment.

“During the redevelopment of Jiráskovy sady, we considered installing a water feature in the form of a drinking fountain in the immediate vicinity of the bus shelters. The drinking fountain was chosen to make accessing water as easy as possible; it is a fountain that you activate by pressing a button,” says First Deputy Mayor Vladimír Karpíšek, referring to one of the water features.

To improve comfort on the hot streets, a misting system has also been installed this year, which is now operational on 17 November Square.

“A misting system has now been installed and is operational on 17 November Square, which both children and adults will be able to use to cool off on hot summer days. This is already the second water feature to be commissioned in the town this year,” adds Vladimír Karpíšek.

On particularly hot days, the roads are also cooled by the Příbram Municipal Technical Services spraying water onto the streets.
