News from the Town Hall – 15 January 2026
This year’s first instalment of ‘Minutky z radnice’ has been filmed, and once again it brings you the latest news from the town.
- This year we are marking the 810th anniversary of the first written mention of Příbram; the celebrations will include the 30th Meeting of Mining Towns and Villages of the Czech Republic and the 19th European Day of Miners and Metallurgists, taking place from 12 to 14 June 2026.
- When planning their summer holidays, parents will certainly find the overview of nursery school holiday arrangements helpful.
- Enrolment for the first year of primary school is now open.
- The town’s sports facilities and the Jan Drda Library are organising day camps for children during the spring half-term.
- Due to the weather, construction work on Na Leštině Street, in Jiráskovy sady and in Kozičín has been temporarily suspended.
- Technical Services are collecting undecorated Christmas trees. Please leave them by your bins.
- Events: until 21 January – ice rink (17 November Square); until 15 February – Taja Spasskova exhibition: ‘Matter of Absence’ (František Drtikol Gallery); 31 January: guided tour of this exhibition; public ice-skating every weekend; ice-skating for senior citizens every Tuesday and Thursday.
