The road through Jiráskovy sady will be closed

The regeneration of Jiráskovy sady is drawing to a close. In the final phase of the works, residents can expect the most significant traffic restrictions; from the start of April, it will be temporarily impossible to drive through Jiráskovy sady.

The work on the regeneration of Jiráskovy sady is also having a significant impact on traffic, as utility lines need to be relocated within the roads themselves. Whilst the March closure of Gen. R. Tesaříka Street is drawing to a close and the street will be open to traffic again from April, Jiráskovy sady will be closed from the same date. The road will be dug up in the upper section, at the junction with Lázeňská Street and Kpt. Olesinského Avenue. 

“The road excavation in this area is essential; the old water and sewerage pipes need to be replaced. The closure has been authorised for the whole of April; an agreement has been reached with the contractor that the work will be carried out in such a way that this main road is closed for as short a time as possible,” says Mayor Jan Konvalinka by way of introduction. 

The traffic restrictions will also have a significant impact on bus services, with only certain services running to Jiráskovy sady. Jiráskovy sady will serve as the terminus for boarding and alighting on routes 502, 503, 505, 507, 508 and 565. 

For routes 319, 393, 395, 501, 506, 510, 515, 517, 530 and 754, the stop at Jiráskovy sady will be suspended for the duration of the closure and replaced in both directions by the ‘Příbram, Fibichova’ stop. The ‘Příbram, Fibichova’ stop will be temporarily suspended in both directions for routes 392, 509 and 531, which will use the ‘Příbram, Plzeňská’ stop instead. 

The school bus service will continue as normal, with the morning service departing three minutes earlier – the service will follow its usual route – the ‘Příbram, Jiráskovy sady’ stop will be suspended for the duration of the closure and replaced by the ‘Příbram, Fibichova’. 

“We are aware that this causes significant disruption, but there is no other way to carry out the replacement of the aforementioned utility lines,” adds Mayor Konvalinka. 

We would like to remind you that, as part of the integration of public transport into the PID, you can use all PID services for travel within the city at the city fare. 

The revised timetables will be published on the city’s website in the ‘Transport/Timetables’ section once they have been finalised.

Diversion routes 

319, 393, 395, 510, 515, 517, 530 and 754 – these routes will be diverted in both directions via Evropská and Jinecká streets.

392, 509 and 531 – these routes are being diverted in both directions via Plzeňská and Evropská streets on the section between TGM Square and the Evropská/Jinecká junction.

482, 488, 512, 521 and 567 – services whose terminus or starting point is ‘Příbram, Jiráskovy sady’ remain unchanged.

501 – the route is diverted in both directions between TGM Square and Kpt. Olesinského Avenue via Plzeňská, Evropská and Jinecká streets.

506 – between Dolejší Obora and Koperníková, the route is diverted in both directions via Evropská and Jinecká streets. Apart from Jiráskovy sady, all stops will be served; only their order will change.

502, 503, 505, 507, 508, 565 – services whose terminus or starting point is Jiráskovy sady or Svatá Hora remain unchanged or are shortened to the Jiráskovy sady stop.

Changes to stops 

‘Příbram, Jiráskovy sady’ – cancelled in both directions for routes 319, 392, 393, 395, 501, 506, 509, 510, 515, 517, 530, 531 and 754. Does not apply to selected terminating services.

‘Příbram, Fibichova’ – is being introduced in both directions for routes 319, 393, 395, 501, 506, 510, 515, 517, 530, 754 at the regular stops on route 531. For routes 392, 509 and 531, the stop is being removed in both directions.

“Příbram, Plzeňská” – is being established in both directions for routes 392 and 531, and for route 509 towards Trhové Dušníky, at the regular stop for route 502 towards Zdaboř.

“Příbram, nám. T.G.M.” – cancelled for route 509 in the direction of Trhové Dušníky.

“Příbram, Svatá Hora” – the boarding and alighting stops are cancelled for routes 502, 503 and 508.
