The ceremonial hall at Zámeček-Ernestina has been refurbished
The ceremony hall at Zámeček-Ernestina has been given a completely new look following renovation work carried out over the past few months. Wedding ceremonies will once again be held here from June onwards.
Work on the renovation of the ceremony hall began at the end of January; everything is now complete and preparations are underway for the first events in the hall. Next week will see the awards ceremony for the ‘10,000 Steps’ challenge, followed by the Welcome Ceremony for New Citizens. The first weddings will take place in June.
During the refurbishment, the ceremonial hall underwent a truly complete interior transformation. Structural alterations were carried out, the electrical wiring and lighting were completely replaced, a backlit wall was installed, and there is a new sound system, new lecterns for the officiant and master of ceremonies, new carpets, and new panels bearing the national and municipal coats of arms. This work cost approximately 3,350,000 CZK including VAT. At the same time, the ceremony hall was fitted with new chairs, and new curtains and drapes were also installed.
“The refurbishment project is based on a design by the architectural practice Karnet architekti, and the result is well worth it. I am looking forward to the weddings and other ceremonies that will take place in this new, modern space,” says Mayor Jan Konvalinka.
As previously mentioned, wedding ceremonies can once again be held in the refurbished ceremony hall; Fridays between 9 am and 2 pm have been designated as the designated day for ceremonies, and ceremonies held during this time are free of charge. If the couple wish to hold the ceremony on a different day, they must pay an administrative fee of 3,000 CZK. For couples who wish only a small ceremony, there is the option of getting married on the town hall premises, on Tuesdays from 1 pm to 3 pm.
