A new fire engine for the Příbram – Březové Hory Volunteer Fire Brigade
The town of Příbram has acquired a new water tanker for the Příbram – Březové Hory Volunteer Fire Brigade. The vehicle, which was delivered this week, will be officially blessed during the Prokop Fair.
Since the start of the week, the Příbram – Březové Hory Volunteer Fire Brigade has had a new CAS 30/9000/540—S3VH (T815-7), which will replace the now obsolete T815 water tanker. The new water tanker, valued at 11,847,086 CZK, was purchased with grant support from the Czech Ministry of the Interior and the Central Bohemian Region.
“Firefighters at all levels are a vital part of the town’s running, which is why we strive to support them in every way possible. We have now succeeded in securing a new fire tanker for the Příbram – Březové Hory Volunteer Fire Brigade. It is a modern, Czech-made vehicle that meets the technical requirements set by the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic,” says Mayor Jan Konvalinka.
At the end of 2023, the town of Příbram submitted grant applications under the call for proposals issued by the Ministry of the Interior’s General Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic: JSDH-V1-2024, and a grant of four million crowns was approved. The town secured a further one million crowns in additional funding from the Central Bohemian Region under the programme ‘Co-financing of specific investment projects from the Central Bohemian Region’s budget linked to the programme administered by the Ministry of the Interior – General Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic’ ‘Grants for Municipal Volunteer Fire Brigades’.
The water tanker was delivered at the start of this week by Kobit, spol. s r. o., and its ceremonial blessing will take place on Saturday 4 July as part of the Prokop Fair.
