List of activities

Pursuant to Act No. 541/2020 Coll., on waste, public administration in the field of waste management is carried out by:

as the local authority

• checks whether legal entities and businesses use the municipal system solely on the basis of a written contract with the municipality, whether waste collection is arranged, and whether non-business individuals manage municipal waste in accordance with this Act,
• imposes fines on waste producers for breaches of the Act, and sets out measures and deadlines for rectification.

As the municipal authority of a municipality with extended powers

• maintains and processes records of waste and methods of waste management,
• monitors compliance with the provisions of legislation,
• issues opinions on land-use plans and regulatory plans, issues binding opinions and statements on land-scaping, the demolition of buildings, and the establishment of facilities intended for waste management.

Municipal waste charges

The fee is set out in Generally Binding By-law No. 5/2024 on the local fee for the municipal waste management system. The full text can be found HERE.

Due date: The fee is due by 31 March; in the event of late payment, the fee may be increased.
Amount of the fee: It is set at 864 CZK per year. The fee is reduced to 50% for anyone who is registered as a permanent resident in Příbram and reaches the age of 70 or over in the relevant calendar year. These residents will therefore pay 432 Kč for waste collection.

• Via the Citizen’s Portal at portalobcana.pribram.eu (My Obligations)
• By bank transfer – the account number for the local municipal waste charge is 1783-521689309/0800
• In cash or by payment card at the Municipal Office cash desk (Gen. R. Tesaříka 19) or by Type A postal order
