News from the Town Hall – 26 February 2026

This year’s fourth edition of ‘Minutky z radnice’ is here, bringing you news from the town hall

• The playground at the Bratří Čapků Primary School is to be upgraded with a small running track, a shot put area, a table tennis table, a footpath and so on.
• Preschoolers will now also be taking part in the ‘Coaches in Schools’ project, which is being extended to nursery schools.
• The Czech Figure Skating Championships will take place in Příbram from 6 to 8 March.
• For the first time in its history, the town of Příbram has been awarded an A rating, meaning it is considered ‘risk-free’. 
• Registration for the April ‘10,000 Steps’ challenge will open on 1 March.
• Events: exhibition of work by students from the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University (17 November Square), 6 March: concert by Past and Arleta (Junior Club), 14 March: St Patrick’s Day (Junior Club), 22 March: guided walk ‘How the New Town Was Built – Part 2’, 27 March: ‘Ladies & Gentlemen – Re-start’ (Junior Club), 28 March: ‘March for the Brain’.
