• The price list for care service activities, both mandatory and optional, is approved by the town council. Clients pay for care services on a monthly basis under the terms of the contract they have entered into, according to the frequency of services provided during the month, with the exception of clients covered by Section 75(2) of Act No. 108/2006 Coll.

The care service is intended for younger and older senior citizens, as well as people with disabilities and, in certain situations specified by law, families with children. Specifically, our care service is provided to residents of the town of Příbram. At present, there are no families with children amongst our clients.

As at 31 December 2013, the care service was provided to a total of 775 clients. Free care, as stipulated by the decree, was provided to 20 clients (participants in the resistance movement). Of the total number of clients, 32 are immobile, 213 have severe mobility difficulties and 27 are wheelchair users.

Description of the provision of social services
: The care service is primarily provided through visits by social care workers from the City of Příbram’s Care Services to clients’ homes, both in care homes (a total of 5 with 330 special-purpose flats), or in clients’ ordinary homes in the community; alternatively, clients may visit personal hygiene centres.

Individual care service tasks are provided on the basis of an assessment carried out by the relevant district nurse in
accordance with the contract concluded between the client and the social care provider.

The services are carried out during staff working hours, at times and on days as requested by the clients.

The care service provides the following tasks (in accordance with Section 40 of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. – mandatory tasks):

Assistance with everyday personal care tasks:
- assistance and support with eating and drinking;
- assistance with dressing and undressing, including the use of special aids;
- assistance with spatial orientation and independent movement within the home;
- assistance with transferring to a bed or wheelchair

Assistance with personal hygiene or provision of facilities for personal hygiene
:- assistance with personal hygiene tasks,
- assistance with basic hair and nail care,
- assistance with using the toilet

Provision of meals or assistance in arranging meals
:- providing meals appropriate to the person’s age, the principles of a balanced diet and any dietary requirements,
- food delivery or takeaway,
- assistance with preparing food and drink,
- preparation and serving of food and drink

Assistance with running the household
:- routine cleaning and upkeep of the home,
- maintenance of household appliances,
- assistance with major house cleaning, such as seasonal cleaning, cleaning after painting,
- fetching water,
- stoking the stove, including fetching and preparing fuel, and maintenance of heating equipment,
- routine shopping and errands,
- bulk shopping, for example weekly shopping, purchasing clothing and essential household items,
– washing and ironing bed linen, and carrying out minor repairs where necessary,
– washing and ironing personal laundry, and carrying out minor repairs where necessary

Facilitating contact with the wider community
:- accompanying clients to doctors’ appointments, public authorities and institutions providing public services, and accompanying them back
