• Written consent from the nominee to perform the duties of a gamekeeper.
• Following an assessment of their knowledge of the rights and duties of a gamekeeper, the nominee must provide a medical certificate confirming their fitness to perform the role, a photograph, an identity card, a hunting licence, a firearms licence and proof of insurance.

Basic information:

This is a procedure initiated on the basis of a proposal by the hunting ground user.

Time limit for processing:

In straightforward cases, without delay; in other cases, within 30 days; and in particularly complex cases, within 60 days of the commencement of the proceedings.

• Act No. 449/2001 Coll., on hunting, as amended
• Decree No. 244/2002 Coll., implementing certain provisions of the Act on Hunting, as amended
• Act No. 500/2004 Coll., the Code of Administrative Procedure, as amended.

The proper remedy is an appeal. The decision issued contains instructions on how to appeal, specifying the time limit within which an appeal may be lodged, the authority to which it should be addressed, and where the appeal may be lodged

A natural person may be appointed as a gamekeeper if they: are over 21 years of age, are resident in the Czech Republic, have a clean criminal record, have legal capacity, are physically and medically fit to perform the duties of the post, have demonstrated knowledge of the rights and duties of gamekeepers , has taken the oath, holds a valid hunting licence and firearms licence, is insured and has given their written consent to their appointment to the post.
