Planning permission for waterworks
Basic information

If a water structure is used for water management and a water management permit is required, such a permit may be granted provided that the corresponding water management measures were authorised at the latest at the same time as the construction permit for the water structure was granted.
Examples of waterworks include wells, dams, weirs, reservoirs, weirs, retention basins, water mains and water supply facilities, including water treatment works, sewerage facilities, wastewater treatment works, flood defence structures, structures for the utilisation of hydropower and energy potential, and sludge lagoons.

Furthermore, it does not apply to cesspits for the accumulation of waste water, water and sewerage connections, internal water and sewerage systems, or exploratory hydrogeological boreholes.
