Basic information

A spouse who took the other spouse’s surname upon marriage may, within six months of the divorce decree becoming final, notify any registry office that they are reverting to their former surname.

A divorced spouse who took their former spouse’s surname upon marriage, and a divorced spouse who, alongside their shared surname, listed their previous surname in second place.
