Permit to carry out activities within a road protection zone

Basic information:
‘Activity’ refers to construction work requiring a building permit or notification to the building authority. It also refers to the carrying out of groundworks that would alter the ground level in relation to the carriageway. A written application addressed to the Road Management Department is registered; following a check to ensure it is complete and a review, a decision is issued, which is either sent to the applicant by post or may be collected in person by prior arrangement

Procedure:
Submission of a written application specifying the applicant’s request.
In person at the registry office of Příbram Town Hall, Tyršova 108, 261 01 Příbram, or to the office of the Road Management Department of the Příbram Town Hall, Gen. R. Tesaříka 19, door no. 104 (ground floor).

Processing time:
The processing time is 30 days; in particularly complex cases, 60 days.

Who is entitled to submit an application, notification, etc.:
The applicant must be a legal entity or its authorised representative, or a natural person with legal capacity and entitled to rights and obligations.

The road owner, the Traffic Inspectorate – Czech Police Regional Directorate

Legislation governing the procedure:
• Act No. 13/1997 Coll., on roads, as amended
• Decree No. 104/1997 Coll., implementing the Act on roads, as amended

Administrative (or other) fee:
No administrative fee is charged for the permit

Remedies:
an appeal to the Regional Authority of the Central Bohemian Region via the Road Management Department of the Příbram Municipal Authority; the appeal must be lodged within 15 days of the date of receipt of the decision

Notes:
What penalties may be imposed in the event of failure to comply with the prescribed obligations:
• a fine of up to CZK 100,000 for a natural person
• a fine of up to CZK 100,000 for a legal entity
