Villerupt

The partnership between the French town of Villerupt and the town of Příbram dates back to the time of the previous regime.

The current cooperation consists primarily of regular official visits. Since 1998, cooperation has been developing between the French school Lycée Stanislas and the Integrated Secondary School of Hospitality, Commerce and Services in Příbram. This cooperation culminates in jointly organised events in both towns (French Cuisine Days in Příbram, Czech Cuisine Days in Villerupt).

Information about the town

Villerupt is situated in the north-eastern part of France, not far from the border with Luxembourg. It has a population of almost 9,000. Since 1976, Villerupt has hosted an annual Italian Film Festival. Villerupt is an industrial town (steel and metallurgy).
