Compensation for damage caused by the 2013 floods

During the floods in June 2013, damage was caused to the town’s property. Among other things, parts of the Dolejší Obora pond were damaged – a breach occurred in the embankment and the pond’s outlets were destroyed by the pressure of the large volume of water flowing through them. Immediately after the floods, the town rectified this initial damage; the breach in the bank of the Dolejší Obora pond was repaired and the outlets were secured, as there was a risk that, in the event of further flooding, they would be unable to regulate the outflow of water from the pond.

Through a specific-purpose grant from the EU Solidarity Fund, the town of Příbram was reimbursed for the costs associated with repairing the aforementioned initial flood damage in March 2015.
