Modernisation of public lighting in the town of Příbram – Phase V

This project is co-financed by the European Union under the National Recovery Plan; the grant provider is the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The title of the application is ‘Modernisation of public lighting in the town of Příbram – Phase V”, application registration number 2182000896 from Call No. NPO 1/2022: Reconstruction of public lighting.

Due to the unsatisfactory current condition of the public lighting, a complete reconstruction of the public lighting system was carried out, consisting of the replacement of luminaires.

A total of 897 luminaires were replaced, 5 luminaires were added, and 6 luminaires were removed without replacement. The level of illumination or brightness of the road surface complies with the values required by the ČSN EN 13201 standard, with a deviation of no more than 30 per cent. No part of the luminous flux emitted by a luminaire is directed above the horizontal plane passing through the centre of the luminaire.

Switchboards: The area is supplied by a total of 14 switchboards. The 14 switchboards in question were replaced and fitted with a control system.

Street lighting structural elements: 113 street lighting columns were replaced, 8 column extensions were fitted, and 20 brackets were removed.

The complete modernisation has therefore delivered energy savings of 78.49 per cent compared with the pre-renovation situation, whilst also reducing light pollution.
