List of activities

Pursuant to Act No. 334/1992 Coll., on the Protection of the Agricultural Land Fund, the functions of the Agricultural Land Fund Protection Authority are carried out by:

As the municipal authority of a municipality with extended powers:

• in cases of doubt, it decides whether a plot of land forms part of the Agricultural Land Fund,
• it decides on the inclusion of a plot of land or part thereof in the Agricultural Land Fund,
• grants consent to the conversion of permanent grassland into arable land,
• grants consent for the use of sediments from ponds, reservoirs and watercourses and keeps records of their use,
• issues an opinion on regulatory plans, with the exception of those drawn up on the basis of spatial development principles,
• grants consent for the implementation of projects involving agrivoltaic electricity generation facilities and ponds for the rearing of fish or aquatic poultry
• grants consent, as appropriate, to the withdrawal of agricultural land from the Agricultural Land Fund where the area of agricultural land concerned is less than or equal to 1 ha, and, in the case of temporary withdrawal or permanent withdrawal with a temporary levy, issues a certificate confirming the completion of land restoration for the consents it has granted,
• decides on levies for the withdrawal of agricultural land from the Agricultural Land Fund,
• monitors compliance, imposes remedial measures and deals with administrative offences.

Pursuant to Act No. 326/2004 Coll., on Plant Protection:

As the municipal authority of the municipality:

• it receives notifications of the occurrence or suspected occurrence of harmful organisms and forwards them to the plant protection authority;

As a municipal authority with extended powers:

• it deals with certain offences and other administrative offences - in cases concerning the occurrence and spread of weeds, as harmful organisms that spread from uncultivated agricultural land and unmaintained non-agricultural land and which pose a threat to the environment or to human or animal health, and orders the rectification of any identified shortcomings, setting a deadline for compliance.
