Traffic Offences Department

Description of the department’s activities

The Traffic Offences Department is responsible for the comprehensive handling of cases and decision-making regarding offences under the Road Traffic Act, the Road Transport Act, the Act on the Conditions for the Operation of Vehicles on Public Roads, and the Act on Liability Insurance for Damage Caused by the Operation of a Vehicle, which fall within the jurisdiction of the Příbram Municipal Authority in terms of subject matter and location. It also cooperates with the municipal police and the Czech Police in the exchange of data required for the resolution of traffic offences, and works with the Economic Department of the Příbram Municipal Authority in the enforcement of fines imposed on the basis of decisions issued by the department. 

We would like to inform you that, due to data protection requirements and the confidential nature of administrative proceedings, we are unable to provide information from case files over the telephone. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that, due to high demand for consultations or access to case files, it is necessary to book an appointment in advance. Without a booking, you may face a longer waiting time. Please make an appointment via an authorised official or by email: meu-du@pribram.eu.

We would also like to warn you about fraudulent text messages and emails that purport to be official demands for payment of fines. The Traffic Offences Department never sends such messages and, in the case of genuine offences, uses official postal delivery or data boxes. Do not respond to such text messages or emails!
