Support for Senior Point

The town of Příbram has a population of approximately 32,000 – of whom around 4,000 are senior citizens, some of whom are members of organisations, whilst others are not. The Senior Point project supports the lives of all senior citizens and brings together local activities for people aged 55 and over. A trained staff member works at the contact centre, providing senior citizens with information on safety, social and housing issues, prevention and leisure activities. Senior Point also organises certain activities such as excursions, lectures and theatre visits, and provides educational programmes and lectures for clients of the contact centre. Senior Point in Příbram is located in the building of the former 8th Primary School at 193 Žežická Street; a club room for senior citizens is also available. The project’s costs relate primarily to operating expenses for energy, rent and office supplies.
