| Brief description of the project | The aim of the project was to transform the original railway station into a modern transport terminal which, based on accessibility principles, connects the key elements of public transport in the town and region (bus services + local public transport + the nearby Czech Railways station), the development of an information system accessible to people with various types of disabilities (visual and audio information), the establishment of a Municipal Police station as a natural part of the transport hub, and a CCTV system to enhance transport safety. The aim of the project was to improve the quality of public transport and associated services, to ensure and improve transport connectivity in a region with high passenger numbers, to increase residents’ interest in public transport as an environmentally friendly mode of travel, to create a barrier-free network of routes, and to improve the local environment. |
