| Brief description of the project | The aim of the project was to implement energy-saving measures on the building in accordance with the recommendations of the energy auditor. The measures focused on improving the thermal performance of individual building elements. This involved the installation of external wall insulation, the removal of window spandrels, their bricking up and subsequent insulation. The flat roof was insulated using an insulation system, and the wooden and metal windows were replaced with windows featuring thermally insulated glazing. The hollow blocks in the front section of the building envelope were bricked up and insulated. The aim of the project was to reduce the building’s energy consumption – which was inefficient from this perspective – on the basis of the proposed energy-saving measures. The measures implemented led to the building achieving a low-energy or higher energy performance standard and to a reduction in emissions. |
