 Brief description of the project

This project is co-financed by the European Union under the National Recovery Plan; the grant provider is the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The title of the application is ‘Modernisation of public lighting in the town of Příbram – Phase IV – Nová Hospoda”, application registration number 2182000744, under Call No. NPO 1/2022 ‘Reconstruction of Public Lighting’.

Due to the unsatisfactory current condition of the public lighting, a complete reconstruction of the public lighting system was carried out, consisting of the replacement of luminaires.

A total of 264 luminaires were replaced. The level of illumination or brightness of the road surface complies with the values required by the ČSN EN 13201 standard, with a deviation of no more than 30 per cent. No part of the luminous flux emitted by a luminaire is directed above the horizontal plane passing through the centre of the luminaire.

Switchboards: The area is supplied by a total of 3 switchboards. The 3 switchboards in question were replaced. The switchboards were retrofitted with a control system.

Street lighting structural elements: 67 street lighting columns were replaced, 9 columns were extended and 4 cantilevers were installed.

The complete modernisation has therefore delivered energy savings of 75.28 per cent compared with the situation prior to the refurbishment, whilst also reducing light pollution.
