Planning for 2010–2011

In 2010–2011, the ‘Community Planning of Social Services in the Příbram Municipal Authority with Extended Powers’ project is being implemented within the administrative district of the Příbram Municipal Authority with Extended Powers. This follows on from an initiative in 2006–2007, when the first community plan for the town of Příbram was drawn up. The project focuses on maintaining and developing the process of planning the provision of social services. The aim is to support local partnerships and to draw up a community plan for social services covering the entire administrative area of the Příbram Municipality with Extended Powers (75 municipalities). The plan will serve as the basis for ensuring a network of social and support services that meets the needs of citizens. The project involves providers, commissioning bodies and users of social services, as well as authorities and institutions working with people at risk of social exclusion.

Planning for 2006–2007

Efforts to provide the citizens of Příbram with the necessary social assistance and services led, in 2005, to preparations for the launch of the community planning process for social services. Using this method, the town decided to plan social services in such a way that they would correspond to local circumstances and the needs of individual citizens. The ‘Community Planning of Social Services in Příbram’ initiative was launched in 2006. The planning took place in an open manner, with representatives of social service providers, users and commissioning bodies collaborating on the project. The general public was also involved in the process.

In 2007, the first comprehensive outcome of the process was produced – the Příbram Community Plan for Social Services. The plan helps to ensure the availability and quality of social support for people in difficult life circumstances. The second output was a catalogue entitled ‘Providers of Social and Support Services in Příbram’, which informed citizens about the social services available.
