Project title	Social therapy activities for users of the Shelter’s services

Brief description of the project	The Příbram Shelter provides social services to a target group of mothers and children at risk of social exclusion. Their abilities and skills required for integration into everyday life must be conceptually supported within the framework of individual care plans, even beyond the scope of the activities set out in Decree No. 505/2006 Coll. for shelters. The grant was used to cover the personnel costs of an educational worker and a worker organising group art and craft activities, as well as the operating costs associated with the implementation of the family support programme. This programme focuses on providing continuous, conceptually based support to the target group of service users through socio-therapeutic activities, such as educational counselling or social and legal advice, work-based educational and art activities with both children and adults, and the development and consolidation of children’s motor, psychological and social abilities and skills (e.g. fine motor skills training, improving memory and imagination, expanding vocabulary, teaching hygiene habits and good manners), and providing support for the children’s appropriate education.

Brief description of the project	The aim of the project is to focus on a range of tasks – from mapping the local area and the issues facing the Roma minority and socially excluded localities, through to establishing contacts and cooperation with individuals and groups from the local Roma community, and the preparation of programmes for people who are socially excluded or at risk of social exclusion, to providing practical assistance to these individuals in dealing with the authorities, compiling applications, resolving their housing situations or identifying opportunities for employment.
