| Brief description of the project | The aim of the project was to implement energy-saving measures at the building in accordance with the recommendations of an energy auditor. The measures focused on improving the thermal performance of the individual building elements. External wall insulation was fitted, including the plinths; the loft ceiling was insulated; the roof of the annexe was insulated; and all windows and side doors were replaced. Glass blocks were replaced with windows, side entrance doors were replaced with insulated ones, and transom windows were replaced with insulated glazing. In the gym, all windows and the entrance doors were replaced, and the external walls and ground-floor plinths were insulated. The aim of the project was to reduce the building’s energy consumption – which had previously been inefficient in this respect – through the proposed energy-saving measures. The measures implemented resulted in the building achieving a low-energy or higher energy performance standard and a reduction in emissions. |
