Accessibility Statement for the Town’s Website

The City of Příbram is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with Act No. 99/2019 Coll., on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications and amending Act No. 365/2000 Coll., on public administration information systems and amending certain other acts, as amended (hereinafter the ‘Accessibility Act’).

This accessibility statement applies to the following websites:

The City of Příbram will gradually include findings regarding other websites it administers in this accessibility statement.

Compliance status

These web pages are partially compliant with the Accessibility Act.

Inaccessible content

Some of the materials listed below are not fully accessible, primarily due to an unreasonable burden. These include, for example, documents that were sent to the website in an inaccessible format – they often originate from other authorities or are generated by accounting systems. The website operator has a legal obligation to publish these documents and therefore does so despite their shortcomings.

Similar issues may relate to:

older photographs and illustrative images that lack alternative text descriptions,
links without accompanying captions,
videos without subtitles.

Adapting these elements to a fully accessible format would place a disproportionate financial and organisational burden on the operator. In accordance with Section 7 of Act No. 99/2019 Coll., on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications, as amended, these elements are therefore not being modified retrospectively.
The website also contains documents in DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX and PDF formats. These formats are used in particular where:

they contain typographical elements or formatting that cannot be fully displayed in HTML,
they have a larger file size,
they are more suitable for printing.
